When she realizes her grandmother is going to die, she tries to "hold it back" but then realizes (from her grandmother) that she can't and must continue life as her mother and grandmother taught her. She was going to misbehave in school and at home. Q. Did any of her plans work? A. No, probably because she had always been such a good girl at home and at school. Q.
