Summary: Before someone may teach in the state they must have participated in a program about skills and strategies for classroom management of individual, small, and large groups. The skills of classroom management and conflict resolution are included as an integral part of the professional education component.

Title: Relates to Designation of school Resource Officers
Summary: Requires the curriculum for the Resource Officer/Counselor Certification and Training Course to include instruction in conflict resolution. The officer must demonstrate a proficiency in the course material through passage of a written examination, the final portion of which will test knowledge of counseling and conflict resolution for school-aged children.
