Summary: Requires the State Board of Education to develop a list of recommended conflict resolution and mediation material; models and curricula that address responsible decision making; the causes and effect of school violence; and nonviolent methods for resolving conflict including peer mediation. The list should be available to local school administrative units.

Summary: Encourages a school to include a comprehensive-parent involvement, conflict-resolution program as part of the development of its school improvement plan.

Title: Schools; Bomb Threats; Dropouts
Summary: Requires the Joint Legislative Education Oversight Committee, in consultation with the State Board of Education, the Office of juvenile Justice, and the Center for the Prevention of School Violence, to examine the issue of students, who threaten to commit or who carry out acts of violence directed at schools and to identify effective education practices to prevent these threats or acts of violence.
