Summary: Provides for the employment of social workers to assist students in grades 6 through 12. The focus of their services should include prevention, rehabilitation, and intervention regarding issues such as gangs, teen pregnancy, child abuse and neglect, and domestic violence.

Bill Number: 1999 Nevada Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 7
Title: Commending the Board of County Commissioners in Clark County and its Neighborhood Justice Center for the success of the Peer Mediation Program.
Summary: Commends the successful Peer Mediation program, that successfully uses pupils, who are trained in mediation skills to facilitate communication among pupils who are involved in a dispute. The program allows educational personnel to concentrate on the importance of academics free from the worry that disruptive acts of violence may occur.
