Title: Certificates of Qualification; Specific Components of Teacher Preparation Programs
Summary: Bill states that any candidate in a program for teacher preparation leading to professional certification shall be encouraged to complete a school violence prevention and conflict resolution component of such a program.

Summary: Requires each local or regional board of education to provide an in-service training program about school violence prevention and conflict resolution (among several other topics) for its teachers, administrators and pupil personnel.

Title: State Educator Certificates
Summary: To receive an endorsement to teach all levels, health teachers are required to complete 30 semester hours of credit in areas such as substance abuse and prevention and violence prevention.
